What are you going to do?
As a senior cloud or site reliability engineer, you will be responsible for developing and managing our cloud infrastructures on Google Cloud Platform. You will focus on reliability, availability and scalability of our platforms and processes. You will use tools such as Grafana and LinkerD, and manage Linux systems and databases (SQL and NoSQL, such as MongoDB). You ensure that our environment performs stably and meets high standards, with an uptime of 99.9% as a starting point.
From your senior role, you primarily focus on the processes around the implementation. The structural improvement of reliability, cost reduction and scalability. You initiate and secure improvement processes, optimize working methods and align technical choices with broader organizational goals.
You actively interact with your colleagues, inside and outside the team. You guide and coach engineers in their work and contribute to a strong development climate. Together with your team you will participate in a rotation scheme for accessibility outside working hours, for which you will receive additional compensation. Because we design and develop everything ourselves at our office in Noordwijk, collaboration is strong and direct.
