Multidisciplinary health-tech team building AI-driven healthcare solutions

At The MedGuide Company, we build intelligent medical applications that make medication use safer and more effective. We combine AI, design and clinical science to better support healthcare providers and patients.

Our Pharmacotherapeutic Analysis (FTA) helps pharmacists and physicians quickly conduct medication reviews and identify pharmacotherapeutic problems, especially in the elderly with polypharmacy. We also have an AI-driven self-care recommendation, which is used by 20,000+ people weekly through retailers such as AS Watson, Jumbo and Plus.

As a Data Engineer, you will build the data pipelines behind these products: you will automatically retrieve medical data via APIs, enrich and validate it, and ensure that everything is reliable, scalable and continuously available.

What you will build

You will work on the core of our data infrastructure:

– ETL/ELT pipelines for large volumes of medical data

– Automatic import, transformation and validation flows towards MongoDB

– API integrations with internal and external sources

– Logging, monitoring & alerting for data quality and pipeline health

– Performance data models + index strategy for NoSQL

– Testable, containerized workflows (pré: CI/CD, Azure, Docker)

– (Nice-to-have) Integration of LLM output into existing pipelines

What we are looking for in you

– 1+ years of experience as a Data Engineer / ETL Developer

– Strong in Python (clean, testable, scalable)

– Experience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL stores

– Knowledge of API integrations, authentication and data transport

– Understanding data quality, schemas and versioning of data

– You work in a structured way, document clearly and think in robust solutions

Pluses (not required):

– Affinity with medical data, AI or health-tech

– Experience with Azure/Docker/CI/CD

– You have previously worked with LLM/AI pipelines

Why this is cool

– You are building something that directly impacts quality of care

– You work with complex, meaningful data at scale

– You get room for ownership: you help determine how we make this smarter and more robust

– You are on a team that puts quality over quick fixes

Location: modern office in the Houthavens (Amsterdam)

Hybrid working: combination of office and home working possible

Tools: a MacBook with all the necessary software so you can pop right away

  • Team: fun team outings, from sports activities to culinary dinners
